What happens after the trial?

If you want to carry on after the trial, you can simply choose one of the available plans. Without a plan, your access ends automatically.

What happens when I choose a plan?

You pay at Stripe’s secure checkout, and your plan is active right away. If you come from the trial, it ends with the first payment. All prices exclude VAT. All plans can be cancelled at any time, under “Manage subscription”. Your access stays until the end of the period you have paid for. You find your invoices there, too.

Yes. With a yearly plan you save about 20 % compared with paying monthly.

Can I change plan?

Accepted Answer

Yes, any time. The change applies right away. For the rest of the current period we only bill the difference: on a more expensive plan you pay it right away, on a cheaper one we credit it to your next invoices. If you have more websites than the smaller plan allows, you remove the extra ones first.

Is it worth it for a small shop?

Accepted Answer

Even a small shop can lose tracking at any time: a plugin update or a change to the theme or the backend is enough, and a pixel is gone or tracking gets blocked. Usually nobody notices until the numbers at the end of the month look much worse than usual. Trackneat regularly checks whether everything still works and tells you as soon as something is missing. That way you spot gaps early instead of weeks later.

How often do you check?

During the trial we check morning and evening (8 am and 8 pm). On a plan we check every 4 hours. On a plan the times are midnight, 4 am, 8 am, noon, 4 pm and 8 pm German time. For serious problems, such as a missing pixel, we check a second time after a few minutes. If the problem is still there, we report it to you right away. Smaller notes we collect for you in at most one email a day.

Don't GA4 and Meta already show me warnings?

GA4 and Meta only show what arrives with them. Trackneat opens your website like a new visitor, looks for the tracking tags of 20+ platforms and writes to you when there is a problem.

Question 9

What is the Beacon, and do I have to install it?

Accepted Answer

The Beacon is a small, optional counting script for your shop. It comes with “1 Website Plus”, “Agency” and “Pro” and counts, among real visitors, how often Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Tag Manager and TikTok send events. How you install it and remove it again is in the guide. Everything else in Trackneat also works without the Beacon: we check your shop from outside, so you install nothing for that.

Do ad blockers throw off the Beacon?

Only a little. The Beacon counts what happens in your visitors’ browsers. For visitors with an ad blocker, individual counts can be off. That is why Trackneat does not compare against fixed numbers but against the same weekday in recent weeks on the same website. A quiet Saturday is not a drop. If the count is 30 % or more below that, you get an alert the next day. For that the Beacon needs a few days of data and at least 10 events a day.

Does Trackneat check server-side tracking?

Partly. Trackneat checks everything that happens in the browser, including tracking through your own domain (server-side GTM). What runs server to server afterwards, such as the Meta Conversions API, we can't see.

Is Trackneat a compliance tool?

Accepted Answer

No. Trackneat checks and alerts, for example when tags send data before cookie consent. Trackneat doesn't offer legal advice and doesn't issue legally valid certificates. Whether a setup is legally fine is a question for your data protection officer or lawyer.

Is there a DPA?

Yes. The data processing agreement (DPA) is based on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. You can read the text beforehand. You conclude the DPA in Trackneat under “Workspace settings”.
